Redmine is a project management suite built on Ruby On Rails (ROR). The software suite was originally created for use in software project management however it's recent progress has allowed to be actively used in all sorts of other areas (including engineering).  The beauty of Redmine is that it literally functions as an online application allowing users all over the world to collaborate on projects.
